How do I register for an event?
Using the event calendar, click on the correct month, the desired event and dates for the event. You can filter by selecting just the snowsports discipline you are interested in. You will be directed to an information page and then a registration page. If you having difficulties, or if you are looking for an event that is not on the calendar, please contact the NRM Region office to register.
Are registration spots limited?
A maximum number is put in place for each event so there is always the potential for registration to close early due to a full clinic/assessment event. If registration numbers exceed these maximum numbers, additional clinic/assessment event groups may be created provided the new group numbers meet minimum number requirements and there is available staffing.
Can I register the day of the event?
There is no event day registration.
Is there a registration deadline?
Yes. Registration deadline is one week prior to the event’s start date. A $30 late fee applies to registrations made after that time. Payment must be made at the time of registration to save your space.
Can I register after the deadline?
It depends. Registrations made after the one week deadline are on a space-available basis and are not guaranteed. If participant numbers have not reached maximum, registration may be allowed but will incur the late registration fee ($30).
What is the min/max participant number for events?
The minimum number of participants for an event is six. If there are fewer than six individuals registered for an event one week prior to the event, the event may be canceled or rescheduled. The maximum number of participants is ten for educational clinics and eight for assessment events. If registration numbers exceed these maximum numbers, additional clinic/assessment event groups may be created, provided the new group numbers meet minimum number requirements.
Will an event be cancelled if it has less than the minimum number of participants?
Yes, if minimum numbers are not met one week prior to the event, the event will be cancelled. Registrants will be contacted and refunded. Whenever possible, efforts will be made to reschedule.
Are lift tickets included?
No, lift tickets are not included in event price. Ticket rates are determined by the host area. For events hosted in Montana, employees of Montana ski areas can use their MSAA cards for complimentary tickets.
If I cancel, will I be refunded the registration fee?
Should cancellation become necessary seven days or more before the event, registration fees will be refunded less a $10 cancellation fee. Within seven days of the event half of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds will be given if requested on the day of the event or later. All refund requests must be made directly to the NRM region office. We understand that things happen beyond your control, so please provide us with any great stories to justify why you are cancelling attending the event within a week of the event! Special consideration is given for especially creative stories, x-rays and other supporting documents!
What does ‘waitlist’ mean?
- Each event has a max capacity. When that’s reached, we create a waitlist to allow those that want to attend the event a change, if someone registered was to cancel. The waitlist for NRM ends 4 days out from the event. This means that if a spot opens up 4 days out from the event start date, you’ll be automatically enrolled and your credit card on file will be charged. You will receive 2 notification emails, one for the event and one for the paid invoice.
- You can view your waitlisted events in the member portal under the events tab.
- If you are on multiple waitlists, you will NOT be removed from a waitlist for event #2 if you are successfully enrolled in event #1. You will need to contact nrm.memberservices@gmail.com to be removed from that list. We will follow the change/cancellation policy if you have not cancelled the waitlist and are enrolled in more than one event. Generally this means that it is risky to put yourself on multiple waitlists for the same day, or the same event type within two weeks of each other.
