Announcing the election and appointment of Eric Sheckleton and Eliza Kuntz
By Michael Hickey, NRM President
This past weekend the Board of Directors of PSIA-AASI held a meeting in Golden, Colorado. Two of the items on our agenda were the election of a new president/chairman of the board and the appointment of a new representative to the board from NRM. Eric Sheckleton was unanimously elected to the position of president/chairman of the board, and Eliza Kuntz was appointed as the new board representative. I want to pass along congratulations to both of our fellow members. All of us on the NRM board of directors, as well as the national board of directors, are confident that they will do an exemplary job representing the entire national membership.
Eric Sheckleton, PSIA-AASI President/Chairman of the Board
I want to thank the members of NRM for allowing me to represent our division over the past ten years. It has truly been an honor for me. NRM is considered a small division, but it covers a large amount of territory. I believe our geography leads to our diversity. I often am amazed at the great ideas that develop from various NRM meetings. These ideas are always focused on creating a better experience for the member and often involve a volunteer effort in order to keep expenses low. NRM is lucky to have such a great group of leaders.
Though I will no longer represent the division formally, I will continue to represent the membership as I lead our association into the future. I will continue to stay active in NRM as a snowboard and alpine clinician. This is one way for me to stay in touch with your needs. Please continue to share your ideas and feedback with me.
Thank you,
Eric
Eliza Kuntz, PSIA-AASI Northern Rocky Mountain Division National Representative
Our NRM president, board of directors, executive director, committee members and committee chairs volunteer thousands of collaborative hours to maintain this organization and are a talented group that is tasked with moving NRM into the future. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to continue to work with all of these dedicated snowsports professionals and to be part of the bridge between the national board of directors and NRM's membership and leadership as we move into the future. We are all part of an organization that is over 30,000 strong. I hope that I can make a difference in your ability to "inspire lifelong passion for the mountain experience!" Thanks go to Eric Sheckleton, Michael Hickey and our NRM board members for allowing me this opportunity!
