Spring Cleaning

Easy things to do before putting it all away for the summer.
Yeah, you are right." This is such a Martha Stewart thing".

1. Air out your boots. Take the liners out and let them air out for a week before putting them back together. Cedar sachets or a sprinkling of baking soda will help them be fresh next season.
2. Tech Wash your pants and coat. Give grime a summer to do its work and it can put the damper on your waterproofing, if you know what I mean.
3. Soak your poly or fleece in baking soda. The smell can be eradicated. Just apply paste of baking soda and water for 20 minutes, then launder and air dry.
4. Wax your Board/Skis. This is so important. Just wax and then don't scrape. Be sure to store them in a relatively cool place as well. The heat from storing in the rafters or in a shed can deplete the wax over the summer, leaving your skis/board high and dry by opening day.
